Mayrik, mother’s kitchen on Bayview

Mayrik is an Armenian restaurant that pays homage to a mother’s kitchen while bringing a new elevated vibe to the cuisine, the word “mayrik” translating to “mother.”

Mayrik is the Armenian room at 1580 Bayview Avenue. The official house says the word translates to mother: a kitchen that pays homage to that table, then lifts the room. Aram Gabrielian built it to feel like the pocket restaurants west of downtown, sitting in midtown instead.

Mezze, salads, khorovats, plevres, anoush. A late-April statement called it dinner. We have no public plate photograph from the official site we can save here.

Bayview already knew the name. The desk wrote it once.
