Bomou is the French-inspired artisanal bakery Azar and Negar Sabzevari opened on Bayview: hand-made viennoiserie, naturally leavened breads, a seasonal pastry case, specialty coffee. The official house says each product is prepared in the atelier with time-honored techniques. The main shop is 1636 Bayview Avenue. A second counter later opened on Yonge in Rosedale.

French butter for the croissants, Ontario dairy, Canadian flour. blogTO called the double-baked croissants ridiculously buttery. The photograph is the official table — kouign-amann, a seeded roll, lattes in the house cups.

A June Wednesday on the statement, then two July lines. Same bakery, one post. The sisters still bake for the block.
